The ATMIS Advantage
ATMIS Medical Level 2, 3 and 4 disposable medical isolation gowns products are made from domestically-sourced, 100 per cent non-woven virgin SMMS polypropylene and feature ultrasonically welded seams at the sides and sleeves with neck and waist ties running continuous from the body. All three levels of gowns are latex-free and feature a soft hand feel with lightweight, breathable construction that is ideal for extended wear. They can be ordered with thumb slits, thumb loops or elastic cuffs in industry-standard sizing ranging from small to extra-large.
All of our gowns meet or exceed ANSI-AAMI-PB70 specifications and CAN2-41162-M80 flammability standards – two times as stringent than the minimum standards required by textile laws.
AAMI Level 2
- Resistant to water spray and some water absorption upon contact
- Exceeds AATCC 127 (test for resistance to water on contact; hydrostatic pressure)
- Exceeds AATCC 42 (test for resistance to water spray)
AAMI Level 3
- Resistant to higher standard to water spray and resistance to water absorption upon contact
- Meets a higher test standard (compared to Level 2) for fluid resistance based on AATCC 127 (test for resistance to water on contact; hydrostatic pressure) and AATCC 42 (test for resistance to water spray)
AAMI Level 4
- Resistant to penetration of viruses based on penetration of surrogate microbe for Hepatitis (B and C) and Human Immunodeficiency Viruses
- All critical components meet requirements of the bacteriophage penetration test ASTM F1671
